G SAM Hospital provided a comprehensive health screening, Korean medicine treatment and holistic healing for the American Forces Military Retirees in S. Korea and their family members on 22nd of June, 2017.

In memory of the Korean War and expressing our appreciation to those who were devoted to defending Korea, SAM Medical Center invited 10 military retirees and their families to participate in a systematic health screening at the health screening center or Korean medicine treatment.

This health check-up included chest X-ray, urine test, audiometry, vision test, blood pressure, blood glucose and dental screening so on. They also had person to person consultation with the doctor on the same day. Furthermore, some of them chose to see Korean medicine specialist to get the consultation about their body type and health condition. Based on the result of health check, the doctor treated them with acupuncture, cupping therapy and moxibustion.

Mr. Carl Reed, the President of the Yongsan Retiree Council, said “When I looked around the hospital, I could meet many patients who came from abroad. All of the medical staff was really nice and many medical staff is fluent in English as well. “I was really moved” and “I will definitely recommend SAM Medical Center to my close friends”

Mr. Richard Deppe, Secretary of the Yongsan Retiree Council said, “My first impression of the hospital is the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. It is also very impressive that patients are able to get quick feedback with an accurate diagnosis from the medical staff.

After the medical treatment, they moved to a restaurant surrounded by green nature for their lunch and holistic healing program. Rev. Kim, Do-bong, the pastor of SAM Medical Center, provided a holistic healing lecture - Five Senses Experiencing Program.

Dr. Park, Sang-Eun, the superintendent of SAM Medical Center, said “This event is really meaningful in terms of expressing the gratitude for their sacrifice and devotion” and “We are planning to continue this healing program for American Military Retirees in S. Korea”
